The Ponta dos Gachos Exclusive Resort is located in Governador Celso Ramos. The town belongs to the Costa Esmeralda of Santa Catarina, 40km far from the capital Florianópolis.

Motivation

Besides a review of the identity of the brand, the Ponta dos Ganchos Exclusive Resort also needed a new website, main communication channel with the public. Three of the most important things to be improved were: the aged appearance of the site, the lack of usability and interaction (using mobile devices) and the fact that the site wasn’t able to communicate and show the experience of the place to the user.

Process

We studied the content in order to identify all the services and products that are offered, and to understand how to organize and present them in a clear and simple way. After defining the content, a card-sorting dynamic was performed, to gather the services and products in a friendly way for the user. We had the opportunity to do an immersion process, getting to know the different environments of the resort and observing the daily life of the employees and the clients. In this way we could comprehend the team vision of the resort and the treatment dispensed to the guests.

Experience

The focus of the site was the experience provided by the packages, services and products. We needed to create a visual structure that could reflect the exclusivity and the high quality of the resort, ensuring a good use experience of the site to retain the clients. Our mission was to bring the identity and the added value of the resort into a 100% digital and responsive environment.

Result

The result was the creation of a new iconography to categorize the information, to highlight the packages available for the clients.


Iconography

Through the iconography, we created categories representing the different levels of the experiences. Each luxury package fits in one category: in this way the user is aware of the level of the experience that a package offers.
